Can it access the internet? You could download the update for Norton and try to identify what he's got and eradicate it.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Get avast! - it's free and to my mind, very good. Been using it for 3 years now and never a problem. It takes a good while to start up and to do scans but seems to work very well. The on-access scanner seems to pick stuff up quickly as you surf and download too and gives you instant options to close the browser, delete or quarantine a file.

Of course if it's really bad, it won't allow you to install software.

hmmm download avast and then run it in safe mode

if u have partioned your hard drive, over write the partition with the operating system
with a fresh install then buy norton/mcafee they both do the same thing..
but this time make sure all your virus definitions remain up to date..

Yeah, don't spend any more money on anti-virus software, there is too much free, open-sorce stuff out there. I recommend Avast.

Another alternative is to backup the files he wants onto an external drive and then wipe the whole hard drive and reinstall Windows. It's always nice to start fresh. Then get him set up with Avast and perhaps some other programs to block the bad stuff.
Kinda strange, kinda awesome.

In safe mode? :sad2 ; because it cant penatrate as is.... I feel chastised...

My wquestion... do I have to re-buy Norton for all 3 computers seperatly or does it multi license?

Will it cean this mess without scrapping windows?
