JAYSUS CHRIST, U got that right.
It's nearly impossible to eat healthy in the USA. Since I converted to mostly raw/vegan diet in mid December my budget for food went up 100%, and that with me having to prepare everything myself! Are you looking for fast/food restaurants that serve you healthy food? Or places to find healthier alternatives than what you get in grocery stores? Oh, and

Good god - vegetables are so expensive here. :disbelief; And why do you pack every thing in foil? If I need four apples I can take them from a box. Diary products are another thing. I wanna buy freshly sliced yellow cheese, dammit. I want a small cut of cottage cheese. Oh and OMG. Sparkling water is non existent here. Oh and [Edited 1/12/08 22:58pm] oh rushing07 I luurrrrve you Sparkling water is gross! When I was in Europe this summer everything was sparkling water!! I had to ask for water with "no gas" in Germany and it wasn't always available. Natural food stores sell healthy products, but they are very expensive. Everything in America is boxed, canned, saturated with dyes, preservatives, and hidden suggar/salt to flavor things. You can save alot by going to fruit stands , or farmers markets, on fruits and veggies (sometimes half the price). But I don't know about Chicago--I would imagine everything is expensive up there. Also, for fast food, Subway Sandwiches are about the only place that you can safely eat low calorie sandwiches (which are lacking in adequate protein). Local bakers and some high end supermarkets sell real bread--but most of the shit you see on the shelves is the stuff saturated with perservatives. God I'm glad I gave up the Standard American Diet (SAD). Check with horatio--he's big into alot of the healthy eating stuff. He may have recommendations for stores in the area. Anxiety also once lived there. I'm sorry to say it will probably be pricey.

I know we have it here in Tampa. You can get freshly squeezed orange juice at Smoothie shops like Robeks or Jamba Juice. I have no clue what sour milk is, but that may just be me--I've always hated milk. imago's ass for breakfast We both know that's not going to be hard for you to obtain. It is difficult to find those things here. America has drowned itself in what I call "corporate food". The results are self evident in our asses.
