Okay, granted I've never stayed in the hotel rooms at any of these, but I have been to their bars. biggrin I suggest researching:

Hotel Gansevoort. It has a pool on the roof, and a bar with amazing views of the city. The lower level has a spa and another bar, I believe. I think the rooms probably have pretty sweet views and would be romantic. It's located in the Meat Packing disctrict, which is super trendy with lots of clubs and restaurants.

Or perhaps The Gramercy Park Hotel It's near Gramercy Park (as the name suggests), which is the only private park in NYC. You have to have a key to get access, and I think hotel guests can check out a park key. Not really park weather right now, though.

Or maybe The Bowery Hotel. It's all wanna be British. Not sure how romantic the rooms would be though. This one is between the East Village and the Lower East Side. Not as romantic, imho.

There's always the W Hotels, too, but I feel like those are kind of passe now. shrug

Orgnote me if you have specific questions or want more info--I have a whole list of NYC hotels, but I think these might be the swankiest/coolest.
