I'm not sure what dreams mean or anything, but I frequently have dreams involoving water and trees. Usually I am in the tree and someone will tell me to jump... and I can rarely hear anyone in my dreams, I have to go by their body language. I also dream about people chasing me a lot.

I also have many of the same dreams that I had as a child... they'll usually come a few times a year. That's very strange to me, because they are exactly the same each time, and I wake up at the same point each time. It's very strange.

Azure, dreams are very unsettling to me as well..., I use to have dreams that reoccured the exact same way over and over. (Many childhood dreams) I use to have dreams that people were chasing me with threatening consequences and all I wanted to do was wake up... knowing then in my dream that it was a dream (I was aware). Usually my way of escaping was to fly, I alway can escape through flying... it is a powerful yet very relieving sense to feel. I've seemingly have flown over the entire earth. rose peace It may sound weird to others, but in my dreaming reality, it is very real.

Azure, what I have done over the past several years to eliminate bad dreams is to monitor my personal visual and audio awareness, much of the things in my life as well as on the news and even through movies did infact play a role in my dreams. rose I believe "all" was such an influence, for I know that although just a movie or on the news... all is and can be a reality in my life and to people close to me, even beautiful strangers. I am aware that all does truly occur and nothing should ever be taken lightly, ever...(((Beautiful sigh))) Ignoring the news or what is going on around "us", does not mean I am not aware of current events... but it does mean that I measure how much I truly feel/need to see and hear on a daily basis. Since I have eliminated much of the horrific viewings, even movies... I have been more at peace. I believe that a person's daily activities has so much to do with how they consciously/sub-consciously go to bed at night with mentally... how could it not. (((beautiful sigh, smile))) There was this tape I use to listen to..., I gave it to a friend after I had no use heart, it is called 101 postive thinking. I used it a night, when night was the most difficult for me. rose Now... I basically sleep "free" peace heart, I still have strange dreams from time-to-time, but not nearly to the same sense that it was taking control of my entire nights. rose pray heart

I didn't mean to go off on a tangent, but I truly know what it can be like. rose peace heart.

I once had a dream in which I could see inside my chest and I saw Jesus' hands around my heart. smile They were warming it and shaping it into something much bigger than itself. I dunno, I think it was a very straight forward dream and one I am happy to have had because sometimes I think of my heart growing bigger inside my chest when I do a good thing.

My dreams are odd, too. Nobody talks - it's all done telepathically. We can read each others' minds.

I also don't have any color in my dreams, they're all black and white... and abstract. Rarely do they make sense.

Yep, I have many abstract dreams too... the majority of the time, however, it's all played out like a movie... sometimes color - sometimes black and white. The thing I love most about dreams is when you're having a good one and you wake up, quickly close your eyes again in hopes to continue where you left off... I love it when it works!

The last abstract one I had, everyone wanted my boots... they were following me around everywhere to get my boots that were in my bag. Upon leaving a "hide out" with a friend, I asked him what the pail was in front of the door. He said, "Oh, you know what it's there for". NO, I didn't! That drove me nuts for days... trying to figure out what in the hell it was there for and what it meant... and WHY did he assume that I would know!? lol... ahh, dreams!

I think you've hit the nail right on the head there.

If you think of your brain as one huge mass processor, dreams are a way of sorting out the crap from any relevant information.

At that age they are being bombarded with new information, which obviously needs to be sorted out.

Tom

I can usually pick apart my dreams and realize it was all just stuff I saw throughout the last day or two. Its almost like if you took a bunch of people, places, and things and mixed them all together into some nonsensical story.

I'm doubting theres any psychic premonitions or other mystical stuff going on in my dreams. I think its just remnants of memories lingering around in my head. Noise almost.

For about the past year, every month or so I dream about looking for my shoes. The circumstances and situations I'm in are completely different, but in each dream I can't find my shoes. It's never stressful, and definitely not a nightmare; the dream just revolves around that particular activity. I've been wondering what it's all supposed to mean and why I keep dreaming about it.

You ever see the movie "Brainstorm" with Christopher Walken and Natalie Wood? It was Natalie's last movie before she died. One of my favorites. The movie is about just what you speak of -- recording thoughts/feelings for replay at will.

I remember years ago a friend of mind told me about a dream about being able to see his grave with the date of his death. I also had a dream about seing a psychic no I don't in real life see them, but the psychic lady told me the age me was going to be dead. I know everyone will die in the lifetime, but I don't want to know about it ahead of time about the day and age when It time for me to go just for me want it happen without knowing about it. So, I guess time 4 me will tell me if the dream was correct about the age.
