Cabbage soup diet

I have known ppl that did this diet and lost weight.
Has anyone here done this diet?

any success? any recipes?

I am doing the Special K thing right now. I am sure I will get bored with it soon.

I am afraid I would get bored with it too but it is cold here now so I make soup anyways so I might try it for a bit. Just to get back into my jeans.
Thanks biggrin

RAW Veganism can help one to loose weight very quickly. But you're already thin so I'm not sure why you're trying to loose weight.

Regardless, the lifestyle also promotes health, lower blood pressure, better looking skin and hair, and of course, a greener way of living.

Moreover, I went raw/vegan December 15th using a book called "Rawvolution" by Matt Amsden. He has a wonderful website "google rawvolution".

On this diet, I was able to drink chocolate milkshakes (vegan ones--but they're just as smooth and creamy and TASTEY as any dairy ones), Raw burger (using a nutloaf meat substitute that you can make, though it requires dehydrating), RAWfried bean buritto (using sunflower seeds instead of beans), and a cinamon/walnut desert to die for.

The thing going raw vegan gives you is variety, so long as you're willing to dive into the recipe books. And the best thing is you can eat until your full--the caloric intake is so low most people shed excess pounds doing it.

I've been with my mom for 3 days now, and I'm only doing 30% raw/vegan, and sooooo anxious to getting back to doing it 95 to 100% when I fly back. You feel so much better doing it.

Sounds good but I seriously doubt my SO will go for the raw thing...

I could just incorporate more raw veggies into our diet and try to cut out butters and creams.
I doubt the curry place would deliver us raw curry anyways... confused

I am just trying to stop gaining and fit back into my jeans..I get grumpy when I do not have any pants that fit me.
pissed

I like the idea and the benefits of the raw diet though I already have very low BP, well I did until I moved here...not sure if it is still low.
They like their butters and creams here...

confused

The English love high protein, fatty content.

Most of the folks that posted on my "taste your own sperm" thread were English. Go figure.

The thought of eating endless amounts of cabbage soup is nauseating ill I don't understand diets - you have to change your eating habits to keep the weight off anyway, so why not just skip the diet & change the habits? shrug

That sounds much better to me. The actual diet is not just about eating cabbage soup from what I have read but I like variety and I know I would get bored and fart on that diet.

I think it will help just to make changes back to things that I used to do like using olive oil spread instead of butter.
Little changes make a difference.

handing me a food programme would only make me quit instantly lol

just lower your calories intake, and drink lots of green tea to increase your metabolisms. and walk 30 minutes 3-4 times a week.

i lose up to 7 kgs within 2 months that way.

I drink lots of green tea, usually daily but I have to add some sugar. I use unrefined, unbleached but I still need some sugar and I refuse to use artificial stuff.
We are starting to do hour long walks now, weather permitting.
I agree, I cannot stick to a diet program, makes me crazy.

statuesqque

My nieces mother was on it for a little while and it did work for her but she got tired of eating that way after a time. Which is the problem with most diets and why they don't work or even the "lifestyle changes"... Folks are going to strictly limit or never eat again the foods they LOVE and like to eat. hmm

Oh damn... I hate beer so that is not a problem. I am too cheap to join a gym but we are going to walk and I am going to get back into my yoga.

We are going to have less beer in the house for a while...that is what I have been told. wink
