I normally fly in and say 'yes' without oft care and consideration. I had to have a tooth pulled out at the dentist after a brace I wore round my lower set of teeth failed to upright a tooth which was growing at an angle. As such I gave a blase yes to having it pulled out in the chair.

I've also gone on horrendous nights out and dates as a result of my eagerness to please.

the best thing to do when you're not listening is to just humm a bit
and make sure it's not discernable wether you mean yes or no. that
way the listener will automatically assume it's yes when they want
you to say yes and no when they expect a no.

that way if they trap you with something, you can always backpeddle
and say "what, i already said no, didn't you gather that?"
