I could not believe how bad it was.

Has anybody watched this thing more than once? I couldn't last for more than 15 minutes (and I'm amazed I made it that far).

I just have the DVD of Alien and Aliens, I just act like if 3 and resurrection never existed...

its not the best alien movie, and the whole bringing back Ripley and turning her into an alien/human hybrid was really silly. But hey Hollywood will do anything for a quick buck.

Aliens is the best in my eyes, followed by Alien 3 it was a good ending to the whole series and it should have stayed there the special edition is quite good....even if you have to turn the volume up to extreme levels at some stages because of the crappy quality but its worth it

You should watch those Sci-Fi channel tv movies like Pterodactyl starring Coolio. You'll change your mind about the worst movie ever, trust me.

Ok, Of the 4 official Alien movies, Alien 4 was my least favorite. The alien goes from (in Riddley Scott's masterpiece) a slick, predator style hunter that covers its tracks, and morphs into a clumsy , easily manipulated, monster in Alien 3, and finally becomes just nothing more than swarm of escaped insects or bees in Alien 4.
Furthermore, there wasn't anything in Alien 4 that needed to be said in the Rippley story--nothing revealed about Weylan-Yutani, nothing to expand upon Ripley's story--NOTHING. It was just a teenage b-flick with adequate financial backing on 20th Century Fox's part.

There were talks of Alien 5 and Alien 6 with James Camron, Sigourney Weaver, and even Riddley Scott, but soon after that "AVP 1" was commissioned with Paul Anderson's annoying ass .

Alien 4 is not a horrible film in my opinion--but it isn't a good one either. Whereas Alien 3 was a decent movie that just didn't meet Genre expectations (to scare the shit out of people), Alien 4 was an obviously bad film that didn't do that.

What I wouldn't have given to have David Fincher do Alien 3 his own way, without Fox meddling daily with the script.
Alien 3 could have been the best of the Alien movies.


Alien 4, was doomed from the get-go.
