Godfather I & II on TV lately

Is it just me or is the fact that they're showing these movies so much on TV in the last year really driving them into the ground?

Don't get me wrong, I love them and always watch them when I see that they're on. But is this overkill perhaps?

I think they should throw in goodfellas and casino more often as to not overkill any of them.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't like Goodfellas.

Casino was good though.

It could have something to do with the fact that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the first Godfather movie.

still Two of the Greatest Films Ever IMHO.probably always will be.I got the DVD FUll Set on all 3.the third Sucked Lemons IMHO.but the first two were Hall OF Fame Worthy.I dig "GoodFellas" though the editing in some spots was suspect.and let's be real Godfather 1&2 are far more Compelling than most of the Garbage that TV is putting out nowadays IMHO.

I've never seen any of them but I want to watch all 3 sometime. Just not on TV where they'll be edited and spliced up with commercials. I want to have a marathon and watch them all in a row.

Also, I think they are trying to cash in on the Sopranos hype.

I've noticed this too. First a marathon on VH1 and then TNN and now some other tv station. I love them, so when there's nothing else on I end up watching them. I can't get sick of Al Pacino, no friggin way!

whofarted Sopranos = stepchild/Godfather = granddaddy.
It would be too late to try that anyway, since the hype hasn't been there since at least their second season, it seems.
