The Monster Jam was AWESOME! Maximum Destruction tore it up - literally! He lost a front wheel during freestyle but continued on three wheels for 2 minutes. Dude ran over EVERYTHING and then flipped his car at the end. A fantastic show!

I saw two flags - one was the American flag, and one was the Texas flag. As always, all current and former members of the armed forces were asked to stand prior to the national anthem, so that we could applaud them. Members of first-responders (policemen, firemen, etc.) were similarly honored. It was very pro-American and VERY patriotic. We all sang "I'm Proud to be an American" prior to the national anthem. I sure do love that song.

The drivers are getting very good at doing wheelies. The track was a modified St. Louis style (as opposed to the old Chicago-style roundy-round layout), which meant there was a lot of open space at the north end of the track. A monster truck pointed straight to the sky and boogeying on two wheels is really a sight to see!

I highly recommend this event if you like things that are loud, go fast, look cool, break things and crash.
