Yeah, One More Day was incredibly bad, and it was the last straw for me with regards to the Spider-Man titles. Joe Q didn't like the marriage, so he made a mandate that JMS had to retcon the whole thing. To make matters worse, he then took over and re-wrote the final issue. Joe Q is, obviously, an idiot. I mean, this is a man who says that Wolverine can't be shown smoking a cigar, because he says it sends a bad message to kids. Okay, I can live with that, but Spider-Man MAKING A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL is wholesome, kid-friendly fare? What sort of message is conveyed there? "Hey kids, it's okay to make deals with evil people, so long as you mean well!" So, with this, I drop the Spider-Man titles for a while (and I've been reading them since I was about 6 years old). This story made the Clone Saga seem like Shakespeare!
