Okay... Let the Healthy Lifestyle Begin! In an effort to follow thru on my resolution to become healthier, I got up at 6:00 am, and jogged/fast-walked two miles!
I will do this three times a week and increase the miles every two weeks until I'm back up to 6 miles a day, three days a week! Wish me luck... |

Good Luck. I similarly will be trying to do the same. Although I think the early mornings will fall by the way side! My tip is if you want to strengthen your abdominal muscles is to ditch doing sit ups and start doing weights. I will look into the last bit as Im sure Im wrong but I will check for you. I bought some weights and a training program called PX90... they're all still in the box. I will open them finally today! |

I guess that says something. sit ups are mainly useful for strengthening the back, so tons of them don't help out alot as far as appearances go. I miss jogging. I need to start doing that again. My fear is with my additional weight gain this last year that it'll be murder on my knees. | |

Good luck! It's too hard for me to do it in the morning. I've been doing cardio after work everyday and burning 600 calories each time. I really hope I can drop 5-10 pounds before I go to Miami in March! | |

Good for you June! I want to start doing exercise too, but I can never motivate myself. I have always preferred "hard work" to enforced mindless exercise. Yesterday on the radio I heard someone looking for volunteers to do sort of manual work, which I think, because I've seen this before, is stuff like community landscaping/gardening/cleaning things out. I think I would like to find out more about that Much easier to motivate myself! Rock n roll baby | |

I did a 40-minute Russian kettle bell class yesterday and I am feelin' it today!
I'm going to do this twice a week, with cardio, Pilates or yoga for an additional two days a week. I have a class reunion this summer...and I am going to look great or know the reason why! We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |
