Just a notice to all the fans of the excellent USA Network Series The 4400 has been cancelled. As this was a series on a smaller cable network, you may not have heard about it. It is similar to Heroes which, borrows heavily from it's overall premise...People with Supernateral abilities.

Synopsis: What is originally thought to be a comet deposits a group of exactly 4400 people at Highland Beach, in the Cascade Range foothills near Mount Rainier, Washington. All of the 4400 disappeared at various times starting in 1946[4] in a beam of white light. After their return, none have aged, all are disoriented, and remember nothing between the time of their disappearance and their return.

Many of the returned people have trouble trying to get their lives back on track after being separated from their world for years. More significantly, a small number of the returnees begin to manifest paranormal abilities, such as telekinesis, telepathy, precognition, as well as other "gifts."

The series also delves into how the rest of the world deals with these returnees socially and politically as it is eventually revealed that the 4400 were abducted by the future and replanted into the current timeline in order to abate a terrible disaster in the future. And thus the struggle between society and the 4400 is played out in the series.

If you are a fan of the show, there is a campaign to try and save it by sending a letter and sunflower seeds to the network.

This may or may not work, but seeing as USA is small, this might be the first time this has happened to them and they might take notice and at least reconsider and give the fans and the show a proper finish, even if it means a mini-series wrap up (it all ended on a huge cliff hanger that could be easily open to interpretation).

And for those of you that have never heard of the show and are intrigued (especially if you like Heroes), check out the DVD's as this is a great Sci Fi show.

No. Due to lower ratings. But it is a serialized drama with a devoted fan base.

They need to cancel all those Law and Order/CSI shows is what they need to do.

Totally feasible as NBC/USA and Sci-Fi are all owned by Paramount. WHat's interesting is USA gets all of the cross promotional commercials but NBC does not.

This probably won't get picked up by Sci-Fi. I am just hoping for a wrap up mini series.
