Jay, David, Jimmy, Craig, Conan, and Carson return thread

So what do people think about the new change and the return of the shows?

I saw Letterman tonight.

Thought it was mostly crap, unfortunately.

It was telling that Huckabee was willing to cross the picket lines though.

I like that Conan admitted the show would be crap, but he had 80 other people on staff that would lose their jobs if he didn't go back.

It was a great show of solidarity to be off for 2 months, but eventually they had to do what was best for everyone.

Dave did the best thing by getting a deal in place before going back though. Big ups to Dave for that.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I thought Dave wasn't as sharp as he has been, but then again the writers have been off the air for two months. Having said that, David Letterman is going to have a huge advantage over Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel simply because he will be able to book more Hollywood guests on his show, since all of the actors who are SAG members have vowed not to cross any picket lines. This basically means that Jay, Conan, and Kimmel will be stuck booking music acts and reality TV stars like Lauren Conrad, Flavor Flav, and Mystery as guests on their shows while Dave (and Craig Ferguson) get all of the A-list talent. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Jay, Conan, and Jimmy Kimmel shoot only two to three shows per week until the strike is settled due to the difficulty of trying to come up with their own material for the monologues every night and the lack of high profile guests.

Really? I thought Lettermen was great and fun although he pretty much let Robin Williams have free reign during the interview and he can at the very least get a few words in usually.

I really hope that actors do honor this strike. As for Leno and others having a hard time finding material, I doubt Leno is serioulsy honoring it. He seemed smug. Kimmel might be but he seems to think that he can do the show himself and also seems to think he has created a world of interesting people to ineract with like he was Howard Stern...and he isn't!

Anyone catch Jimmy's very negative comments for the writers that were picketing. What a sleezebag. Never liked him. Not even a little!

Anyone know if Craig Ferguson is rockin' a beard? Conan and Dave look not-so-bad with 'em. nod
