I just made a huge change for myself in 2007. Bought me an appartment. Then I found out that it was rather expensive so I looked for another job, found it, started three days ago at this new job. Very exciting and the financial distress is also gone.
The only way to make a big leap in your salary is to move to another company. Good luck!

I got to sit next to the old "scrubby-beard, smells like three weeks of funky underwear, picking at his toes after taking his shoes off in the DMV" guy...he kept trying to read the military tax exemption form I had in my hand..... ....there really ought to be a law.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Dan lives there. . [Edited 1/3/08 21:09pm] It is too expensive to live here as well. I say we make Dan move out of Florida then all of us can move there and live cheap and orgnote Dan pics of the org having fun without him. I only say this because I lived there for 24 years and he never bothered to meet up with me...I don't hold a grudge though.

Sold our house, leasing a place in the boondocks until we purchase another home, 3/4 of our possessions are in storage, got a crappy evaluation from my boss last week, and now I have a respiratory flu.
Going to go for a 10 mile run, then hit the bookstore for a good history book to read, as that always cheers me up! (I have books in storage I could read, but would have to spend all day, digging around to find)

i fell a monthago and broke my right wrist and snapped my humerus bone directly below the head, a fracture which necessitated surgery to install pins to realign the broken pieces of bone. since then i have been in a lot of pain and had my entire right arm immobilized to my side by yards of ace bandages, as well as sporting an assortment of splints, partial cast/s, gauze bandages and a sling...not to mention a fascinating and colourful array of impressive swelling and bruising. at my last dr appt, xrays showed that, despite the pins being in, the humerus had still shifted slightly out of place, which is disappointing and worrisome to me as that misalignment increases the possibility i will have permanent loss of range of motion in my shoulder even after completing the couple months of physical therapy i must start in a few weeks.
due to the unfortunate timing of this situation, my holiday was rather dismal as my plans to go home and spend time w/family were completely ruined. it had been extremely important to me this year that i go home for christmas since a very close family member has had serious health issues and the concern lurks in the back of my mind that by next year this family member's health may have declined further and a holiday together might not be feasible. living life one-armed and w/o use of my dominant hand these past 4 weeks and in such pain has certainly been stressful as well as frustrating and exhausting, and this accident has disrupted and impacted my life in a greater multitude of ways than i currently have the energy to one-handedly type out. i can honestly say this experience is by far the worst thing to have ever happened to me and its overwhelming and wearying to consider that it's far from over and there still remains so much more to get through. on the other hand, ive definitely come to appreciate the blessing of the gift of two strong and healthy arms and hands, as well as having formed an immense respect and for those people who have adapted to life with the use of only one arm/hand. Its easy to get lost in the moment and very difficult to imagine a time where it wont be the case down the line. Chin up my sweet friend! My heart goes to you...
