Agreed. Never try to take your braces off by yourself. You could damage your teeth. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

They have to come OFF. Unless I can find a dentist to do them for free then... http://prince.org/msg/100/263154?&pg=2

1. You should never try to remove braces on your own.
2. Braces have to be maintained professionally. 3. You should get dental check-ups (and professional cleanings) twice a year. Checkups help you remain on top of any sorts of tooth or gum problems (obviously), but dental problems that are allowed to run unchecked can lead to very serious health issues in other parts of your body, like your heart.

Why? Have you talked to your orthodontist or whoever put them on? I know when I wore braces, I had them on for a specific length of time and for a good reason. I would hate to see you damage your teeth, because braces are not cheap. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Riiiight. My bad. You asked for prayer because you said you were about to attempt something not-so-wise. But, I hope this thread is all just a big joke. Seriously.

I knew a guy that took his braces off with a wire snips and a butter knife....
it really wasn't that big of a deal...of course, he has gaps in his teeth that you could drive a Mack truck thru, but he's a super great guy...
