My Effing Car Got Broken Into!

My girl told me this morning. I haven't yet seen it, but she said they took my stereo & broke a little window.

About three weeks ago her car was stolen. Both times was from our parking lot. mad Her car was found completely stripped.

We don't even live in a bad neighborhood, but lately we seem to be a target.

As much as it annoys me and it's going to cost me money, this shit just makes me think the world is fucked up, and seriously. I mean, what kind of life can a person be living that they think stealing & breaking into cars is the best life option?

If I saw him I'd like to break his kneecaps, but at the same time I pity him/them, and wish that the world was a better place.

Thanks. Yeah I agree, even though I'm really pissed at whoever did it, I know they did it because their life is pretty empty of opportunity, or at least that's how they're seeing it.

And after they get a few dollars for my stereo, what next? More theft, and maybe from the wrong person at the wrong time. I can't imagine petty theives living fulfilling lives.

Life can be nice, but the world is far from perfect!

I'm sorry. For your sake, I hope it was just a random act of douchebaggery and not a target attack. You really, truly can't have anything nice for yourself anymore without some jerk off fucking it up. hug

I don't think we are specifically targets. The odd thing, though, is that we probably have the cheapest cars in the complex. Maybe our cars are easier to break into, or we were a little careless.

Hers was a Civic, so I guess they're popular to steal. Maybe the most stolen car in the US.

But we both could have been a little more careful. It's just sad we need to be.

Your car was broken into or stolen? I had mine stolen about 12 years ago and it was a huge hassle. It's better than a carjacking or home invasion, but it does suck!

I played a show last night and made $80 that I'm going to have to spend on a window! Not to mention the stereo. I don't even want to think about it! mad I still haven't gone downstairs to look at it lol

The first time, they were damn pros... They came into the complex and hit some 15 cars.... ( None of our alarms went off... They gutted my vehicle ...at that time I kept a gadzillion CDs in there)

The second time I accidentally left the garage door open and kids stole whatever was removable... Some NIN cds and the like.... nothing so much... shocked me more then anything... i doubt it was even locked... which is actually good as I didnt have to replace windows....

( First time they stole the sound system busted the dash to do so.... Iused a pull out after that... I have a coded one now... you take it its worthless without the code....

I think these are pros getting us, too. Allison's car was stripped to the bare carcass.

I left the faceplate right on it. So I wasn't exactly taking the right precautions. Nervous to see if they messed up the dash like they did to you.

I was lucky, though, I almost left some music equipment in there, since I got home really late and was very tired. I decided to make the second trip and bring everything up--guitars microphones, etc.

wow they knew what they were doing! There are some real pros out there.

These guys are breaking into cars and the parking lot is literally surrounded by apartments that look right down onto it! And nobody notices a thing!

Weird, my neighbor just found part of my dashboard, along with hundreds of dollars of my guitar pedals that the thieves dumped around the building.

They were left in the rain, so I don't know if they still work, but they were worth much more than my stereo. confused

I used to wonder why anyone drove anything but Hondas & Toyotas, but the Mercedes, VW, Lexus, BMW, etc in our parking lot weren't messed with.

Allison's Honda key will open the passenger door of her friend's Civic. And her friend's Honda key will open her boyfriend's Acura.

Has anyone heard the trick where you cut a hole in a tennis ball and squeeze the air into a key hole and it pops open the lock (but only Hondas!)?

I'm thinking Honda needs a class action suit!

That truly sucks. I can't even remember how many times I've had stereos stolen from my vehicle.....all in San Francisco.

Yeah,I heard San Francisco is pretty bad when it comes to cars being broken into.I'm always extra careful when I go out there, which isn't very often. There are some SF neighborhoods that I avoid completely.

some crackheqd just broke in my minivan, last night. broke the passngers window looking for my GPS. didn't find it and took nothing, which was weird because while rumaging in the front seat they apparently didn't notice the overhead dvd player and portable dvd player in the back, which are both worth more than the GPS...they did however, throw my DVD of knocked up in the back of the van... lol

$178 to replace the window, but i just got a 30% decrease from my auto insurance for not having any claims/tickets for 3 consecutive years--$95 a month for full coverage woot! needless to say, i won't be calling this one in biggrin

I haven't tried them yet, I'm worried that water got trapped and I'll blow them out if I plug them in. I may try the cheapest one out tonight. They look like they really didn't get that wet, though.

Pretty sure my deductible is more than the window & stereo, oh well.

No, I did fill one out though, just because I want the crimes to be known. Maybe they'll send officers out to patrol this area more often.
