In response to IceNine's thread about being fed up with the 9/11 conspiracy theories, I pose the question- Who is fucking tired of the news in general? I used to watch it all the time but I find myself caring less and less. I don't even watch CNN anymore let alone read the newspaper or listen to news radio. Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm sick of it too Tron. I'm tired of hearing about all the bad going on in the world. Wish they could report all the good things that people do. Positive reinforcement ya know?

And the media's somewhat theractrical broadcasting
of these types of events (like the D.C. sniper) just makes me seriously nauseous to my stomach. Sometimes the news can be very informative, but other times they can be downright insensitive.

I agree with you,TRON.The news is so depressing these days,and it depresses me to watch it.I'm not saying I ignore current events,I just get sick of the way it's presented to us.

I'm not really sick of the news, I'm sick of pathetic people who don't know how to act in this world. For instance, the Football beating thing - have you seen that stuff? Grown people (supposedly) brawling at a kids football game. Some people don't want peace, they WANT to fight, they LIKE chaos. A big ass dude kicks a woman HARD, full force, right in the face! It's just sad how people choose to conduct themselves, that they seek the act of destruction on other human beings. No thought, no respect, no joy...

I'm sick of constantly being reminded that most people don't care about each other. the only news that I am interested in is Prince realted news! 0(+>

I got to see the Moody Bible Institute kids performing on the streets of Chicago yesterday. That was interesting.

No tricks being turned though. Shucks.

I stopped watching/reading the news a long time ago.
It's too sad. I always thought there should be a channel that airs only good news, that will lift up the spirit for people who need to get some hopes back, instead of just airing all the bad things that happen in this world.

I'm sick of it but I'll continue to read/watch it, because I have to know what type of world I'm living in, and whether or not it's getting better or worse. Staying oblivious is not an option for me, I'd rather know no matter how disgusting or painful it is. No matter how uncomfortable the truth is - and it often is.

I have been sick of the news for YEARS... biased, slanted sensationalism is the rule of the day. I cannot get into it...

Gave up on the 'news' a long time ago when the local
stations started competing to see who had the highest
body count every night.

The news doesn't report or inform, it just looks for
sensationalism.

I get a lot more done with the television OFF.

I LOVE the news!

All I know is that every time I hear Wolf Blitzer's voice I get all antsy.

He has this way of making the most ordinary news sound frantic.
