Seems Like Everybody In My Family Is Getting Sick....

Starting with my little nephews and sister-in-law, who are here with my brother, visiting from North Carolina. All three of them went to the doctor, and it turns out that both of my nephews have ear infections. My sister-in-law has a sinus infection. They're all on medication now, but my nephews are coughing a lot.

My mom has been real sick too, she has had severe pains in her neck and back, starting on Cbristmas Eve, and it's not getting any better. I feel bad for her, she really is in a lot of pain, and is having trouble walking or moving around. I told her today that she needs to make an appointment to see her doctor tomorrow, and that I would take her there. Why suffer if you don't have to?

I'm not feeling well either, I think I have a sinus infection: my throat is red and sore when I swallow, and I'm a bit dizzy. Ugh, I'm going to have to go to the doctor's too to get some medications.

Hopefully in a couple of days, we'll all be back to normal again. It's been a different kind of Christmas this year with my mom so sick. She spent all Christmas Day in bed, because every time she moves, her neck/back/shoulders tighten up. She probably needs a good muscle relaxant, poor thing. sad
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

have you thought about asking them to relocate to a nearby hotel while they're all ill and spreading germs? if not, i hope in the meantime you're wearing a hooded paper suit w/ respirator mask whenever you're in the premises. and don't feel bad about asking your family to vacate. just leave loving little hints for them - like, slip a MOTEL 6 brochure in the living room kleenex box and deny putting it there but say "though you know, it might not be a bad idea..."

when they go, open up a couple of renuzits and wave a can of lysol around and you're good to go until your loved ones' quarantine (call it a VACATION!) concludes and they return home to a germ-free paradise. thumbs up!

hug Thanks, crissy! I took my temperature just a few minutes ago, I have a temperature of 100.3! I knew that I probably did, because I've had chills tonight since I got back from my parent's house. Time to break out the Advil.

until they leave, don't you think they should all be staying in one room? you can seal the door behind them with some strong duct tape. at the very least, they should refrain from using your kitchen utensils. nod

lol They're all staying at my mom's house (poor thing, and she's been so sick herself). I don't think I would let them anywhere near my house right now. lol The germs have already spread far enough as it is. smile

don't get upset, but i've already contacted your local authorities about a possible outbreak in your neighborhood. i kind of lied about feral capuchin monkey bites starting it so they'd take me seriously. if people in hazmat suits start wrapping your house in tarp in a few minutes, just think of it as a late christmas present from Anxiety hug

Same here.

It started with me on Christmas Eve. I spent Christmas day curled up on the couch. I was able to enjoy the kids opening their Christmas gifts. I still haven't eaten since Christmas Eve. My kids are sick today. My daughter was sick most of last night and is starting to feel better. My son is struggling a bit. He is taking a nap, so, hopefully, he feels better when he wakes up.

giggle I went in right away, since I had a fever of 101.3 last night, and my throat was so sore. I always worry about strep throat, but luckily, it was just a sinus infection.
