oooh, if you're into vinyl, Chicago has great wrecka stows. I always have the best luck with Prince vinyl when I go there. There is a nice one called Dusty Groove on Ashland. Then Reckless Records on Belmont & Broadway, and Dave's Records on Clark Street just south of Wrightwood.

Oh, and if you want to go to the top of the John Hancock building, don't do the touristy observation deck. Go in building on the south side and go to the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor for a drink. Fabulous views!

When the weather gets nicer, you have to go on an architectural boat cruise--do the one that goes on both the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. The Chicago skyline is like an illustrated history of modern architecture. Even if you're not into architecture, it's really interesting and fun. (And not too expensive--$25 maybe?)

I'm finally moving to Chicago.

In about 30 hours, I'll be in a plane headed for Zurich, from where I'll go directly to Chicago. Everybody please wish me safe flight and that my luggage is not lost.

I'm moving there for 8 months so my house is literally upside down right now.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to log on again,
but I will try to keep you posted.
