Used to live in Metro Detroit / Ann Arbor for about four and a half years, but now I live in Toledo. But I still go up to Motown every now and then.

Same what Mach said -- have fun. Should be very nice that time of year.

No-one gets to leave Detroit cause the bullets in you set off the metal detectors. Start looking for housing now.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Not really, Horatio.

I just drove on I-75 and I-275 and the roads are fine. The state just went through, and still is going through, a massive repaving project that also includes constructing new bridge expanses.

For the most part, many of the major highways criss-crossing Metro Detroit are pretty much perfect.

I guess I will see when I go to the auto show in January then.
Typically its like driving in backroads and boondocks even on major highways.

I'm about an hour and a half away on the Lake Huron ~ very rural and quiet ~ no street lights and lots of woods. It's great to go into the Detroit area for concerts and shopping (Trader Joe's!!!) but oh so nice to get back home.

I hear ya...does anyone here actually live in Detroit city???
We moved to Livonia about 2 1/2 years ago, but lived in Detroit our whole lives until then. I work in Downtown Detroit, which is great because that's where they're putting their money right now (would like to see some of that so to the surrounding neighborhoods, but not with this administration, they want to be pretty for the cameras only, which means having a beautiful area to showcase and not necessarily having thriving neighborhoods)
