You can be a poet, but even poets have to sell themselves. So the site should be perfect. I love the beach pics and the lay out, but that first page (more later, I understand) should be about YOU and right now it is too flowery non-committical.

But that said, the lay-out for a fantastic site are there! Make the beach pics click-through's to yet te be designed pages with pictures, published works, a portfolio, commercial work, poetry etc.

But make that first page about YOU and your work. Maybe ONE work of poetry, a picture of YOU (that links to your picture page, for instance) and a word of praise of your work by others (linking to your commercial work or your poetry, depending what it is about)

But love, love, love the quiet feel of the site. The white with the colours in the pics works VERy well.
