Solitude can be quite refreshing. Long walks with your thoughts, if you are good company to yourself.

Beautiful pic.

I'll be spending a white Christmas.

And not just because I'm white.

And also not just because my sister-in-law's last name is White.

I'll be in the mountains of New Mexico!

honestly, with all the hustle and bustle the holiday brings, I look forward to the day after Christmas...traditionally for me, that's a full day alone...I always visit some family grave sites that day and much like Herman said, I spend the day within my own thoughts...kinda cleanse my mind in anticipation of the new year....

Nope, but the crowd is decimated this year. My aunt will celebrate with her dad in Germany and many from the oldest generation are prevented from coming because of health problems. I guess I knew that year would eventually come, but it's still sad now that it's happened. Escpecially since there are almost no kids in my family to brighten things up.

I spend it with my cousins. Then I go home....by myself. But it's okay.

Don't buy into that bullshit that you are not perfectly alright without a partner. We are forcefed that bullshit our whole lives with terms like Prince Charming, Mr Right, The One For Me.

Why limit yourself? I have lost my first bf, grew apart from the second and every other attempt at a new relationship with other men may have failed, but I have learnt from every one of them.

Life is beautiful and as hard as you make it yourself.

I'm hoping this would be my last lonely Christmas. Even though I don't really celebrate it.

Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

Yeah, I'm being melodramatic. Since I'm an only child I'm used to being good company to myself. I agree PEJ. hug

Herman. I totally agree with you too. It's so funny because I thought the older I got my standards would get lower in finding someone. They're actually higher. So I'm good right now. hug

I won't be alone on Christmas, but I might be a bit more lonely than lately. It seems to magnify it for me. Actually it seems to magnify it for most people! But I had a break up before Christmas quite a while ago, and I'm not quite over those reminders... a few more years maybe smile

I said I'd gotten was use to it but I don't think I'll ever get use to it. at least not in the same way I've gotten use to doing all the other things I do by myself.
