It use to be really cool to have..... Showing my age and showing how fast things are outdated let's list what USED to be cool.
I thought I was the sh*T when i got a DUEL cassette deck!!!! No longer a single cassette, I have stepped up into my new investment. I could dub friends a tape in half the time. Instead of 45 mins, i could do a fast dub in 15. Does the term 'dub' even exist anymore? Even had a tape trading circle of friends, had to have the TDK 5 pack and once in a while i bought a METAL cassette for SUPERIOR sound! no tape hiss! The other COOL item i had was when I stepped up from the cassette walkman to the CD WALKMAN!!!!! , it still skipped while driving in the car. . Old walkmans' were shit weren't they?! They normally were brick shaped and weighed about the same. A particular hindrence when you were walking/jogging and your pants started to fall under the sheer weight of them. Usually the word 'Sport' or something of a similar ilk was written on them in some flashy font. The headphones usually made from a horrible metal with rough (mainly orange coloured) sponge. Why was there never a 'Rewind' button on them?! Only a 'FF' this resulted in wasting ones time flipping your tape over (usually Michael Jackson's Thriller with the word 'Epic' written in yellow on it) to get to the track you want. There's Joy In Expatriation.

Mine was a burgandy pleather dealie... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
