To all the singles during the holidays...

... keeping rockin' on.

As a single dude perpetually looking for Mrs. TBare, the holidays can be tough. Relatives young and old alike want to know when I'm going to tie the knot, accusations fly that I'm not "trying hard enough" or am too picky.

Office parties offer the same (I've actually found myself at a single employees table, on one occasion, looking for a hole in the floor to spare me the twist on the "Children's Table" -- and I was a manager at the time).

Well-meaning acquaintances try to set you up with people they know, as if holiday singlehood were a plague too horrific to endure...

Keep the faith. The right someone will come along eventually...

... er, right? confused

Happy holidays and whatnot.

Single here and very happy about it. Today at least. I love how no love means also no commitments during the festive season other than the ones I agree to.

I love being able to go to the pub with all the other sad fucks on 2nd Xmas day to score a new 'nest big thing'. Hehehe.

Tell them to mind their own business, live their lives and leave you alone. I used to get that sh!t, but not anymore.

My grandfather's name was Sam. A cool man. He was bald and loved ice cream.

I've noticed folks get married early here in the South.

My singlehood, among other instantly obvious factors, sets me apart as different in my workplace and among my social circles.

All in all, it's all fairly amusing to me.

Well, I have faith. It's time-weathered and pain-tested. But, it's there.

Well, as soon as the dust settles down from Christmas, they'll throw Valentines day at ya since you're already good and softened up from the holiday trauma.

I stopped believing and/or having faith in that prospect a long time ago
