You Know What's Great? Having to catch a 10:50 PM flight to Los Angeles that will get you into LAX 12:30 AM local time isn't great. Even though you're staying at the Ritz Carlton (that's not the great part, either), it will still take you about 40 minutes to get there. Which means you'll get about 5 hours' sleep before your big morning meeting. Totally not great.
But when you board the plane in Houston, the check-in scanner buzzes twice instead of once. Turns out that means you get upgraded to first class, where you can comfortably sleep for 2 1/2 hours and every time you wake up, you find the flight attendant has provided a new glass of cold water. That is great.

One was a model at the agency that signed my duaghter, and last night I met a production designer who explained the writers' strike to me in excruitiating detail. That dang strike needs to settle, too many people are getting creamed.
