I'm finding myself thankful it's all over. Except I have stress and obligation coming up again. I'm finding myself with no concrete plans for new years and I think I just want to stay home alone. lol Then a wedding, which will be a joy, but I've yet to get either an outfit or a gift.

And then winter can just move it's way on out of here. As quickly as possible.

I was blessed this year. I didn't have lots of money but I was able to get a couple of things for my family.

the real insanity is hearing how "disappointed" retailers are that americans didn't spend fortunes on this holiday, and hearing how the stock market took a tumble because we didn't break the bank on perpetuating the commercialization of this season, while simultaneously hearing how american credit card debt is still increasing and how 'disappointed' economists are that most americans simply can't seem to get a handle on their spending.

ok. for all you economist types out there, here is a free clue: YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS, DUMBASSES!@!!!!! i mean really!!! doh! falloff doh!

and meanwhile, china and other foreign nations are making the unprecedented move of bailing out morgan stanley and other investment firms... actually buying their way into america's financial markets...

we are so fucked it isn't even funny..

but anyhoo, happy holidays people! sun rose sun

I think I am just dreading the storing of the goods! I have this place Christmas tricked out! lol Puppy was a riot... she just moved from lap to lap to steal all the love.... She dug her stocking and recognizes everything in it is hers.... She doesn't know how to play however... Who ever had her obviously wasn't into toys and play.... She just stares at a ball that rolls to her and although she drags her new you around she seems rather confused as to what to do with it beyond that... She looks at us like we are loons when we bat it around and try to show her! lol

As for New Years.... last year Maddy and i did it up like no other and this year we want quiet... The night before we are going to a Nikka concert and the night of we are hiding out in his apartment all night with Barbra too!

Then I have you in Feb. woot!

Glad to see I wasn't the only one feeling this particular slap of insanity!

I love the holidays, but I'm always so glad when they are over. Just recently my own personal blinders have been lifted regarding all the spending that goes on and the manipulation that goes on at this time of year. More and more I have to focus on what is really important and not be sucked into the Holiday Money Making Machine.

Yesterday was a wonderful day. Our house is no better or worse off than before lol I'll be singing a different tune when it's time to take down the tree and decorations though lol It will be nice, a lot of work, but nice.

Hope ya'll had a very Merry Christmas and/or whichever holiday you celebrate (if you celebrate one at all.)

hug 's

I'm leaning towards taking everything down this weekend. I really like to wait until after New Years, but find when I do wait I wait too long. I've taken my tree down in Feb. in a year past. boxed

I'll probably start some this week. Taking down some here and there and getting it properly ready for storage.
