I found out in a horrid way!!!...i caught my parents putting the pressies under the tree om xmas morning.

sammij said: Mach said: I didn't mislead my children how did you do it? my niece is about 4 and in school and they teach her this, and it's not like my sister wants to take her out of class for it - and she doesn't reinforce the idea at home but khalida still believes I explained the fairy tale ... and that Santa is an aspect that lives in us all ( gift giving ) - I didn't go overboard with the whole Santa cult concepts - I taught my kids about all different holiday traditions - we celebrate Yule/Solstice more so then materialized Xmas type - it was hard in the very begining with the older kids because they had been told a whole different set of stories before I came into their lives so blending pre exsisting traditions with new ones when the little ones came along was actually a fun and expanding adventure I had friends yrs ago that asked me NOT to visit during the holidays because I would not support their "lies" if the children asked what I believed - I can respect their choice though it still makes me laugh | |
