OMG RAW Revolution :falloff: ok, I've been slowly transitioning into a raw/vegan diet.
The process has not been perfect, and I do not do it everyday. Although, this time, I decided not to do it perfectly off the start, but to transition into it, trying recipes that I liked, etc. etc. I have been a vegan weekend warrior for the most part, but now I'm up to about 3 days a week on the Vegan raw lifestyle. I actually bought a dehydrator tonight (this allows you to create certain raw dishes that resembles cooked foods but without the carcinogenic affects of cooking the food or killing the enzymes in your food). Anyways, I'm probably about a month or two at the most into transitioning into a complete Raw vegan lifestyle , and this week, I believe that I will be eating raw/vegan every day. One of the things that I have noticed about the diet is that the claims of increased energy and wanting to eat less are true. My energy levels during the day are relatively high, and I don't get that groggy, slouchy feeling that I used to after lunch. And though it may be my imagination, I think my eczema is getting better. At any rate, I don't believe that the normal "SAD" diet--standard American diet, is healthy or working for me. The results can be seen on my extra weight this year, and the way I've been feeling. Since swapping to raw, even part time, my energy has been stabilizing and going up to some extent (except Sunday--late night saturday). But that's not important right now. This blonde dude in this video is cracking me the fuck up [Edited 12/17/07 22:09pm]

doing strict veganism is hard. i can't even do it for a week. It really depends on the foods you eat. Seriously. The cookbooks I've bought and the recipes I've experimented with are very delicious. Not just raw/vegan delicious, but dishes that I would pick OVER actual regular menu items in a regular "meat" restaurant. I'm really going to try and transition completely over to it. For me now, its' not a matter of taste, but time and lifestyle.

The way I see it, as often as is possible, just eat food that is what it is. Not in a packet, and only ingredient is itself.

It has to be 'orange flavoured'. Everything's gums, extracts of lawd knows what and modified something or other.

E numbers are easier to look up online, which is fun!
Ah, pigment of crushed beetle. Ooh, extracted from horse hooves. Wow, absolutely not found anywhere in nature, only in robots' brains
