My fucking tooth hurts! It's my upper left rear tooth and it hurts!!!

It even woke me up from a nice nap! I'm calling my dentist first thing in the morning... I hope they can fit me in...

I'm terrified of dentists; always have been since I was a child (they were mean and evil in the 70's!). Now dentistry has changed so much, my kids treat going to the dentist like going to the park. I, on the other hand, have repressed memories of torture and evil laughter!



So, now I wait until the last minute before I go - in moments like this - when I'm in so much pain... it's my own fault.

When I think of dentists, I think of that character portrayed by Steve Martin in Little Shop of Horrors! I know it's not like that at all... but, damn. I still hate going.

June7, since you're in a bad mood anyways, can you ban 2the9s? He's really gotten worse lately.

I'm not asking for a perma-ban as I don't think his mediocre threads merit that. But certainly a temp ban could possibly teach him a lesson.

I had a toothache for about a year. Then two months ago, one of my lifelong recurring anxiety dreams came true, and I woke up and there were pieces of tooth in my mouth. Part of it broke out Then a couple weeks later, some more of it broke out.

The dentist said he couldn't fill it because it had broken too far down on the tooth for them to be able to do it. They couldn't even crown it, because the break was in such a low spot. So it's going to have to be pulled. Damn it.

The upside is that I've been brushing my teeth and rinsing with mouthwash SO often (like 4 or 5 times a day) just to keep food out of it and keep it from getting infected that the nicotine stains on my teeth are almost gone.

So anyway, my point is, go get that shit checked out before it's too late.

I know... I know... I know better than to wait until the last minute... I just still procrastinate when it comes to actually going!

It's my own damn fault.

Yeah, it was my fault for just letting it go. If I'd gone to the dentist when it first happened, they probably could have saved it. But by the time I got home from a 2 month trip, the pain had lessened, or I'd found ways to deal with it, and I just let it go. I knew something was going to happen eventually. I just didn't do anything about it.

It was a big part of a wake-up call to me to get my shit together and stop being such a pussy about stuff.

Just don't go. I started getting one a couple of years ago, nearly every day. I had it on and off for ages, like a year or something. Then I started using that tooth whitening stuff and it stopped hurting.

I'm pretty sure my teeth are all going to fall out, but I have no toothaches.



p.s. I do use remineralizing gel after using teeth whitening products.

I can't imagine any problems with my very scientific remedy. Whiter teeth, no toothache, no pain, and whatever problem there may be with the tooth will be magically fixed by the powers of remineralization. Besides, if not painful a tooth doesn't have to be healthy, only as white as possible.

It's still too early to even call the dentist here in Calif. I have to wait until after 8 am!

It's kinda weird, the pain stopped. Now it's on again, off again. The soonest appointment I can get is not until Thursday at 8:30 am.
