Who here can defend reality television? Come on, I know it cannot be done, there is no way that anybody sane could defend reality television, being that most of it is pure junk or worse, offensive to the core. But, I will let some brave souls attempt to defend this crass core of modern ocular culture. '
Go ahead, make my day, and it better not involve Simon Cowell. lol All you others say Hell Yea!!

i can't defend it. i think it's brain rot. i think it's largely to blame for a culture of unfortunate exhibitionism and people losing a sense of public vs. private. people watch these shows and start thinking of their own life as a reality television show with them as the star, and all of a sudden we have a world full of boring drama queens. it's the e-mail spam of modern entertainment.

Well, this is especially true for the Jerry Springer's & Mauvy Puavich Shows of our time. After the shows aired, everything went down hill.

I don't really feel the need to defend it. It is what it is. Some of it's horrible. Some of it's great. And some of it is great because it's so horrible. It takes all kinds.
Personally, I love New York And the Simple Life. And every few seasons, I get into a Real World/Road Rules Challenge, although I have a harder time keeping up with the parent shows, so when they begin, I have no idea who half the people are.
