It's funny. When I was a kid, I had horrible handwriting. My dad actually told me I needed to work on it.

Now, as an adult, people often remark how pretty my handwriting is. Then they shoot me that same hmm look.

It doesn't help that I'm thirtysomething, single and really domestic.

I'm thirtysomething, sort of domestic, and will be single in 5 months.

Simmer down... hmm I know you types who perk up with "really domestic."

You don't want a man -- you want a butler. Someone to do laundry. Someone to fix busted fixtures and sew on shirt buttons.

Oh, suuuuure: You say you can cook for me, but after a while it's all about, "If I come over, could you cook again tonight? I had to stay at work late...."

blahblah

Domestic doesn't just mean that and I do my own laundry, fix things around the house. I have done everything by myself as my soon to be ex was never around due to being in the Air Force.

I cook marvelously too.

hmph!

I cannot sew however and will be sending those things out to the tailor. lol

Most buttons, I'm good with. But, I recently had to run my overcoat over to the seamstress for some button rescue. Those two-sided button deals are tricky. But, I watched her fix it very carefully.

When I was first married I was very gung ho about being a "good" wife so I thought I would sew my husband's rank on his uniforms. neutral

I was clueless. That's when I decided part of being a good wife was learning where our local tailor was located. lol

But, it's so much nicer this way. I'm going to start talking about the virtues of heavy starch, in a moment.
