The opening scene of the Lion King when the music swells and Rafiki hoists baby Simba.

I will NEVER forget the first time I saw it (the opening scene was the preview...) before Sister Act. I had total goosebumps and teared up. It still gets me every single time!

And the opening of the Broadway musical is almost better smile smile

Another good one. Or when Simba's Dad dies.

There's a movie called LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH. I watched it when I was very young. There's a scene where this ghost woman walks out of a lake. That scene has always haunted me.

Man, I saw that film down in my basement, on DC station WJLA-7 after school when I was about 7 years old.

It was daylight, and it STILL spooked the mess outta me.

Are you serious? OMG. I think we're the only two people who have seen it. I actually found a VHS copy on EBAY. I had to buy it.

Dude, I might have to make it a Christmas present to myself, too. I'm sure what was shown on that channel had been edited. I just remember her walking around for 2 hours, to strange music. Was scary though.

I always rewind and watch that scene 3 or 4 times every time I watch Purple Rain. It makes me laugh hard biggrin

It gives me goosebumps just to imagine the sheer force it must have taken to fling that little midget across the room. He may not look like he would weigh that much, but you must remember that he had all that hair! And all those clothes...and the heels! All that stuff together must have added a good 20 pounds.

falloff falloff

thats the greatest paragraph ever written ever.
It's a mess, ain't it, sheriff?
If it ain't, it'll do till the mess gets here

I wish I had the technology to make my vhs copy into a dvd so that I could send it to you.

HamsterHuey

The last scene of Dancer In The Dark left me in tatters, is that the right expression?

Also, the part in Magnolia where all the characters sing along to Aimee Mann. Dayum.
The last moments of that movie, where you see the young addicted girl smile to me is the most beautiful moment in the movie. It speaks of redemption and joy after dark days.
