Okay, so I had a Christmas party to go to last night. The invitation said there would an ugly sweater contest. I immediately went to my mom's house to raid her closet. The woman has umpteen holiday sweaters so I knew I would find one that might win me something. I found this.



I WAS THE ONLY ONE WEARING A SWEATER AT THIS SHINDIG!!!! I look like my goddamn mom! Needless to say, I won but Jesus Christ did I look like an ass. I felt like I was a part of some cruel joke.

Don't feel bad, Julie. That reminds me of a time when my cousin invited me over for a Halloween party. I was sixteen and he never said that people would be dressing up, but it was a Halloween party ya know...? I just assumed...

I went over there in the biggest fright wig/makeup getup you'd ever wanna see and I was the only one dressed up. I looked like a buffoon. And had to stay that way for the entire night while everyone else was casual. Ridicule and shame followed for the next several hours.

You, on the other hand, make that sweater look much better than many others could.

They'll probably show pictures of the party and leave out the fact that there was supposed to be an ugly sweater contest. Strangers will be wondering, "Who's this dork in the sweater?"

Oh well, I guess it's a good holiday story.

I got a bag of goodies. It contained peppermint sticks, chocolate covered pretzels and a Santa Hubba Bubba dispenser. I accidentally left it at the party! There's talk of having this contest next year. I think I'll let someone else have the glory.

This takes me back about 15 years ago, we were having a sports day in school and we got a list of activities we could choose from. All the guys said they were gonna take horse riding so I ticked that box. When the day was there, they all got in line for the bus that would take people to the Judo introduction and I was a little confused ... ended me up on the back of a pony for 4 hours amid an all female audience

It's weird, my cousin invited me to the exact type of party. This is their second year doing it. IT WAS ON SATURDAY ALSO!!!
