Printablethis is cookie, she's the first cat to come into the house. she's very diva-like, only lets my sister and mother touch her. bites me if i try to pet her, but sometimes will let pet her, loves me when i feed her. has her myspace!
this is shadow, she came all beat up to our house. we nurse back to life. she has not left since. she's very friendly with everybody, but when it comes to listening, she somewhat more rebellious than cookie. adores to sleep on me, drools when happy. this next cat, the one sleeping on the floor, he's an alley cat who loves to chill in our backyard, we feed him, he brings his family they all eat, then they leave and like kill birds and whatever, his name is Morissey. 
next to morrissey the cat, is morrissey girlfriend, Bjork the cat. she does not like us, even when we feed her. very afraid of humans, very protective of her kittens. thats my expended family..

I've had lots of pets but my dog Maya was like no other. She was my shadow and the sweetest (but also bratty-est) ever...kinda like me, I guess. She died last March at the old age of 11 and I still really, really miss her. It's my first xmas without her.

What a beautiful dog you had, Erin. So sorry about her death.
About 10 years ago, a rabbit my wife owned had babies. We named the runt of the litter Raga, and he was an absolute gift from heaven.  He used to get pushed aside by his siblings when nursing, and he couldn't keep up with them when they went stomping around the apartment. He was so little that he alone could -- and at will would -- walk right between the bars of the cage we kept them in. The other bunnies would run from us, but he'd come over to wherever we were sitting and just hang out. It was hilarious! 
Raga died after a couple months as he was just never truly healthy. It was absolutely devastating!  We actually held a funeral service for him.

The dog love of my life, Navarre, was put down half an hour ago
(these photos taken 1996) she was my sister's dog, but when she got into drugs and was homeless, my parents adopted her dog. She was the best dog in the world. Better than a human. My mum just called to let me know the vet had made the second housecall and within 30 seconds of the injection, she closed her eyes. My mother and my sister are crying. | |

When she came into a room, she chose a person to sit by, and remained there, maintaining body contact with you, until you moved. | |

Oh God, my friend had to put his dog down last night. He's absolutely devastated. I've never seen him like this. It breaks my heart. It's been a hard year for my friends and I when it comes to pets.
She was 13 years old and the sweetest dog ever. I'm glad I got to see her one last time.
