I'm 'bout ready for a lil' of the white stuff. (Snow, not cocaine ) Detroit's supposed to get over a foot. My neighborhood is having their annual holiday home tour tomorrow (www.historicbostonedison.org) and I'm a tour guide. The snow will make it more festive!

I really don't care this weekend. I have my daughter and we rented movies and bought a ton of food and we've just been lazy bums the whole time thus far. St. Louis is currently buried under driving snow. It's coming down hard as I speak and we've already got 4 - 5 inches.

It's quite beautiful actually...

..having said that, I fully expect all this shit to be cleaned up when I take her back to her mother tomorrow.

the storm is just starting over here, and it's already -13 over here, expected to reach -16 and that's not even with the fucking windchill!

. . .well, for the *first* time in 33 years, they cancelled our home tour due to weather. But, they still plan to have the after party, so I guess I'll go hang out there.

I'm in the mood for some eggnong. . .

Yes it is! I've been in this neighborhood all my life and then some; my family has lived here since the 1950's--this was my great-grandmother's house. My mom moved us here in the mid-60's after she and my dad separated and I've been here ever since. I now live here with my husband.

Well, the snow looks all pretty and sparkly. They're predicting windy conditions, though, which will have my husband fussin' if all the snow he cleared up blows back onto the sidewalks and driveway.

Yeah, only one week left to Christmas. Bring on the snow!

We got the same storm here in Cleveland. It was snowy and windy all day. Not sure how much snow we got, but it was quite a bit!

It never snows here in the SF Bay area (with the exception of a few times in Jan/Feb on the highest peeks).

But at the same time, snow is only a 3 and a half hour drive away, Lake Tahoe baby!

So we get the best of both worlds, we don't have to live with the snow/ice/freezing temperatures, but we have easy access to snow/skiing whenever we want .
