I need to read this book. , it's not really a book though...it's more a novella I guess. At any rate it's good. http://www.amazon.com/I-A...031286504X In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I cried when he had to kill the dog
I thought the movie was ok, it kept me entertained but I didn't think it was his best. He is, however, in the best shape of his life IMO...DANG

Overall I thought it was quite gripping and had some interesting touches. The special effects left a lot to be desired though I thought and was the director on some sort of Bob Marley trip or something?! The fact that Will Smith's fellow survivor had heard of Damien and not Bob Marley I also found very hard to believe. There's Joy In Expatriation.

My husband took our boys to see it yesterday. I was mad he took our 8 year old to it, and if Will had to kill his dog in the movie, it makes sense why he was so upset when I came home.

Not to mention 5 cell phones going off in the theater What is wrong with people? Why is everyone so freakin' ignorant?

I agree, which we have a 16, a 14 ,an 11 and 8 year old son.the older 2 I could see seeing it, but not the younger two. I was at work when he took them to the movies and now he knows WHY I didn't want Will and George seeing that movie. One day he'll listen to me I doubt it though

The whole movie was pretty intense and really a big head trip. I had to actually go out and catch some fresh air in the middle of it. I felt like I was gonna freak out. It was just intense. I can't explain it....but that part where they show him at night (the first night scene I think) and he's in the tub and you just hear brutal screaming and shit outside...damn. And also the scene where they first show the mutants when he's looking for his dog and there all standing in the corner hudled around god knows what (probably that deer I think) munching on it. My 10-year old brother wanted to see it, I was like no way. Not in a theater anyway. It's intense but the whole intensity differs between a HUGE movie screen and a home TV.... Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

A husband and wife were sitting together with a baby stroller for some reason and their phone kept going off and they wouldn't do anything. Someone asked them and they just ignored him!

I saw it & enjoyed it. I chose the wrong crowd to see it with though. I went to a 10:00 a.m. screening hoping I'd avoid the kind of idiots who go to movies & talk to screens & offer their opinions so extrovertedly.
If I want a commentary, I'll wait for the DVD. These people were upset with the fact that Will Smith's character dies in the end. They don't understand why that had to be, they don't understand sci-fi & they don't understand that they're feeling this way because Smith is the star that he is. He's something of this era's John Wayne. A loved action hero, badass with one-liners who can get down to business when necessary. John Wayne was killed in a few of his movies too & got the same reaction. Fans of Smith should watch a few other movies without Martin Lawrence & Eva Mendez.
