actually i told him i was leaving the next day and was i in the right line? he joked that this was the line for cool people. so i still wasn't sure if i was in the right place lol.

Interestingly, in the last 15 years, I've had my passport stamped exactly once, and that was by U.S. Immigration at JFK airport when re-entering my own country.
