Sisters / Brothers Do yours ( if they are older ) still see you as the young child - ?
I just got an e-mail from my 2nd older brother who is 9 yrs older then I and it seemed as if he had forgotten I was an adult ( 43 ) with 4 children ranging from 29 to 16 - it was odd It was like he was talking to me back when he was in highschool and i was that shy quiet introverted little girl WTF ?

Ex-Moderator | My parents and older brother still see me as the baby of the family and see me differently, I think, being a single woman than if I were married and had children, as if I somehow haven't developed into some final stage of adulthood in some way. They still insist on paying for my meals when we get together, my brother offers me gas money from time to time when I come visit, or offers his car or gas money if I run to the store for him while I'm there. I don't know what that's all about. |

no, and it's a good thing cause I'd have to kick his ass if he still did.

My parents don't offer the same things to my brother... Maybe it's a girl/boy thing? The interesting thing is I'd moved out on my own at age 18 and my brother didn't leave home till he was 30 and got married. I've been a self-sufficient adult a lot longer than him. |

I am the baby in my family..one older sister who is quite a bit older then I. She always and always will talk down to me. She really didn't want a sister or brother, and when my folks adopted me, she wasn't very happy. She carried that into her adulthood. Probably why her and I don't speak. They are usually a little older than me as well. I think it is great to have siblings to help support you, protect you and share things with. I guess that is why I am usually fascinated by the sibling relationship.

I'm an only child. I wish I had brother and sisters. Although I secretly believe that I have twin running around somewhere. Wouldn't that be freaky..just to be walking down the street and see someone that looks just like you.

One brother, he's older then me by two years...i think. We never really got on as he used to bully me endlessly. "Waiting to be banned"

I had an older half sister for a while. She loved to chase me around with knives and hit me with sticks. She was crazy.
