This is one of my fave pix of me and my papa. The only thing that has always creeped me out is that if you look right behind my dad it looks like there's somebody's feet. I think we were alone besides the person who took the picture. Now that I mentioned it. I have to ask my dad who took the picture. (I have this whole "adopted" conspiracy)

Good Lord.

It's like...sometimes we clash, sometimes we get along great. Sometimes we just...*whew* it's like WW3. Nevertheless, he's still dad. Heh.

This is from 2k2 but he hasn't changed that much. razz

I think my dad was my biological father but my mom wasn't. Don't get me wrong. It doesn't really matter because my mom was AMAZING and my Dad is so wonderful.

When I was small my cousins would say that I was adopted. My father told me not to pay them no mind. He even pulled out my birth certificate (in Mexico you can buy one) to prove who I was blah blah blah. I always wondered why there were no pix of me and my mom when I was a baby. There are no pix of her pregnant. The pix that exist are when I turned maybe 3 years old.

As an adult I once told my uncle that I was going to Cancun. He said, "Oh, to visit your mother?" I was living with my mom and dad. I stood there shocked as my aunt gave him a dirty look.

I just let it go. My dad is very sensitive and would probably break down if he had to tell me something like that. I'd like to know but if it doesn't happen it's okay too.

You know..I understand what you are thinking. Most of my life I have felt like my adopted Dad was my bio-Dad. That would explain why my adopted Mother hated me so much..along with my sister.

My Dad and I had a GREAT relationship! I was Daddy's little girl! He and I did so much together..from playing pool down at the local pool hall, to fishing, to sneaking off to buy me a new dolly! My Dad is one 'Kool Kat' as he says! giggle

You've talked about this before and it's obviously made a big impact on you (which is very understandable). Are you sure you've "let it go"? Maybe you need some closure, and should talk to somebody who would know, like your uncle for example? It's so hard to deal with the present and future when we still have unresolved matters in the past.

Yeah. I know. It's just so hard to approach my dad about it. Coming out to him was so much easier.

What about your uncle, couldn't you ask him? Based on what you said happened, he seems to know everything.

I don't see him very much. I guess the reason I don't want to ask my dad is because he might want to tell me but he might have promised my mom not to. That would be torture for him. He'd feel like he betrayed her.
