Is it me or does the NBA just suck now??.. Having been watching the NBA since i can remember I can't even stomach the weak play I see now. I remember taping all of the playoff games..Bulls vs Lakers('91)...Bulls vs Knicks(all of the '90's)...Knicks vs Houston('95)
There just doesn't seem to be any great games that make me even wanna watch the game. In My opinion the NFL is just the best sport to watch. At least it seems the players actually care about winning in the regular season. The NBA needs maybe 40 games. Maybe then the players would actually care..rather than piss around the court for 82 games..give me a break! Thank God for the NFL though. anybody else not feeling the NBA anymore?

Well, I only watch basketball when the knicks play. And after last night, Im tired of it! I will start watching and keeping up to date when they finally decide to get rid of Isiah Thomas. As bad as I want Lenny Wilkins or Van Gundy to start coaching again, for the love of God i'll take a blind man over Thomas. Its kinda disappointing. Well...I guess I can still watch basketball for the sweaty guys

I feel ya...I stopped watching about 3 years ago...it's all about individual play and it lacks heart now in my opinion. But that is what happens when you become rich before having to prove you are worth the money. NBA now is all individual hype and potential that is rarely realized. clever clever quotation - attention getting quote - sad yet witty remark - look at me! Im deep quote- song lyric about my ex cause that bitch stole my mp3 player! - line from movie I liked - Prince lyric - not very clever sig mocking other sigs

I think one of the worst things that the NBA did was let these KIDS come out of High School & play in the NBA. The NFL would never allow such nonsense...not to mention the Kid would get killed! The play in the NBA now is just laughable..

The play in the NBA now is just laughable.. No doubt. The secret to the NFL's success is no guaranteed contracts...They get some up front but the contract as a whole is incentive based. You play for your supper...your RUSH back from injury cause someone may take your spot. NBA you get 70 mil you get 70 mil. You get hurt you still get 70 mil. clever clever quotation - attention getting quote - sad yet witty remark - look at me! I've been watching the NBA since '75 but lately I really only watch the playoffs. Maybe if my team was any good I'd watch more but the Bulls STINK.

The level of play in the NBA is far below what we saw 10 years ago. And THAT was far below what we saw 20 years ago.
The players are certainly better athletes today, but they aren't better basketball players. Very few of them can shoot a mid-range jumper. A select few can actually run a pick-and-roll. Not many can dribble without palming the ball. The biggest reason for this set of circumstances might surprise you. In my view, the three-point shot is mostly to blame. It's turned most offenses into four-man sets, because one guy always has to hang out at the three-point line. So with only four players - who have limited basketball skills - running plays, there isn't a whole lot to do. You can take any of today's teams you want, and any playoff team from 1980 would beat them like a drum.

Even the 90's Knicks would take this dominate Spurs team to the Woodshed if they played.

I will agree2 a certain extent but I think the main culprit is the expansion teams have watered down the talent level. 30 Years ago there were about 20 or so teams. In addition 2 that, these lame ass underclassmen could not get 2 the league 30 years ago.
