Sure I had stupid comments like that other women don't want to be on a photo next to me as I make them look fat and coments that I am anorexic. But I think in most cases they are out of jealousy and I don't care.

I'm 5'11, Size 15, got crimson-colored, curly hair, and I'm sort of looking at this article like general consensus but not total truth.....

Don't worry. I'm a part of that general consensus. I just acknowledge that there are those out there that like there women to be frail and thinner than normal. I like compactness, myself. But, a slightly thickness would be a nice plus. For example, although she's engaged and, as a result has broken my heart, Nelly Furtado is the perfect example of what I like.

Im 5"2 (on a good day) and fluctuate between 120-130 pounds. I'm a very curvy person, and I am Ok with that. My doc says I should be between 110-115 pounds.
Ive been there before, and it may look Ok on some women, it doesnt look good on me.

It's perfectly acceptable to shit on thin women these days. Maybe it's some sort of revenge for years of fat jokes, but it's just as obnoxious.

You try going store to store to store trying to find a place that actually stocks size 0 and get back to me on that. Given the upswing in the collective weight of the population, many places won't carry anything smaller than a 5 now. To top it off, I'm short to boot. (No joke, I'd make Prince look tall) So even on the rare occasion I find pants that fit, I've still got to get about a foot chopped off the legs so I can wear them. Currently, I own exactly 2 pairs of pants.

The point is, we've all got something about us that doesn't fit the so-called ideal, and we all know the pictures in magazines are pure, unadultered bullshit. So why do people keep falling for it?

I'm not sure what part of Canada you live in exactly but everywhere I have shopped (Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, even the Maritimes) carries size "0" and even "00" and plenty of it.

I hear ya! There was one of our patients at work that said " what do you ppl only hire anorexics?" My boss and I are not really that skinny, we have curves but this lady was obese so I guess it made her feel better to say that...

yeah, well, it'd be nice if we weren't still bombarded with the idea that bony arms and hips are something to strive for.
