Ex-JPSO deputy arrested on burglary and fraud charges

Former Jefferson Parish Sheriff's deputy Mark Hebert

A former Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested on burglary and fraud charges, the JPSO announced Wednesday.


Mark Hebert is accused of robbing some of the people he arrested by burglarizing their cars or using their credit cards.


The JPSO said he has also been connected to the missing person case of 61-year-old Albert Bloch, who has been missing since September 26.


According to the JPSO, some of Bloch’s possessions were found in Hebert’s home and he was found to be in possession of Bloch’s credit cards and driver’s license.


The arrest was made Tuesday night. Hebert was fired in November
