What's the most ridiculous thing anybody has ReGifted to you for Xmas?

This is a true story:

my aunt one year re-gifted to me some old cookbooks from the 1970's with food stains in the pages.

The next year she re-gifted me a Christmas ornament with her name on it. The ornament read "Merry Christmas Karen from the Surgical Group 1998" She gifted it to me in 2001. I thought it was a joke, but she was dead serious.

It's not like she is poor, she is just cheap. She has been a nurse for 30 years and she makes good money

This year she announced to the rest of the family that she is now a jehovia's witness and she no longer believes in christmas. lol

My aunt gave me this Yankee jacket. I saw the bitch wearing it 3 months before. mad
It was waaay too small. Threads comin out of everywhere. Looked like a cat attacked her.

She handed it to me and I said thank you. Shes like 'u wanna try it on?'
No cuz i can look at it and tell its too small AND it smells like pine-sol.

I just said thanks and put it in my closet.

I would have loved to get that! Old books fascinate me, especially ones for a specific use like cookbooks. I'd love to get my hands on a 100-year old cookbook (or older) to see what they used to eat back then.

I've actually bought an old medical encyclopedia from the 50's for my sister this Christmas. She's a medical student and loves old books, so it's a good combo.

That book was in such bad shape it looked like she wiped her ass with a couple of pages. lol

I don't think she did; she didn't want to embarrass her. It would have been easy to deny, it was just a book, not some handmade craft.

But it happened to be a book from the publisher (a very small publisher) my girlfriend works for! lol Pretty unlikely that it was a coincidence.

Somebody gave me a figurine of a bird that was from a garage sale I think. Kind of cute if I was an 80 year old woman who loved birds/collected bric-a-brac.

I actually had someone regift me some candles I saw them receive on their birthday a year before. I was like eek lol I let it slide cause I usually get pretty great gifts from this person and at Christmas they give me an embarrassingly over-abundant amount so it really was funny instead of an insult.
