MIGUELGOMEZ said: ZombieKitten said: I could squirt that far from my left one, the right one could only produce a dribble Is it true that all you have to do is hear a baby crying and your mile comes out? I don't mean now but when you're pregnant or breast feeding. yeah, in the first few weeks after I had my babies, I would "let down"*, even if I just THOUGHT about my baby *Let Down "When your baby begins to nurse, hormones are released that cause your milk to flow towards the milk stores behind your nipples. This is called the "let-down reflex". Sometimes, just the sight or thought of your baby may start the reflex and make your milk flow. On the other hand, the let-down reflex can be delayed or inhibited by stress, pain, embarrassment or other unpleasant feelings. In these cases, the milk flow may be interrupted temporarily, anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. The experience of let-down is different for each woman. When your baby begins nursing, you may feel a tingling sensation, a prickling or even slight pain in your breast. Milk may start dripping from the breast that is not being suckled. You may also feel strong cramping in your uterus when your milk lets down. Oxytocin, which is the hormone that stimulates milk flow, also causes the uterus to contract. In fact, breastfeeding helps your uterus go back to its original size faster than if you didn't breastfeed. These are all normal symptoms of the let-down reflex. You may experience all, or none, of these signs." http://www.parentingweb.c...etdown.htm I don't miss it! It used to feel REALLY prickly

mind u , it wasnt so special at 1am, and 4 am Our first child was born in 1993, and we didn't breastfeed, so I would normally take the middle-of-the-night shifts. I was actually excited about this, because we had recently acquired cable TV, and I was just sure that all the great shows from the '80's - like "Magnum, P.I." - were shown on random cable channels at 3:00 AM. So that first night, I grab Junior, get a bottle, and settle down on the couch. I hit the "ON" button and...what the fuck?!? A show about using a vacuum cleaner to cut your hair? Another one about making juice out of things that don't have juice in them? What the hell is this? Where is Thomas Sullivan Magnum? This is how I found out about infomercials.
