Pics from the last couple of days with the Lumix. I've looked at them at 100% and they're quite noisy, but overall I'm happy with how this little camera performs. I'm going to be able to take a lot more pictures.

i dont know... maybe im not too impressed, but it was bad lighting and blah blah... it looks just like my 6MP camera - anyway it was cheaper so shrug i get what i payed for
this has been a lil photodoctored - exposure, contrast, saturation.

i'll still be taking amazing pictures like i always do anyway.

All I knew was that they were the same as a Leica. Less expensive without the Leica tag.

Those pics aren't from the beer garden. An earlier one of me reaching for the camera is though. They have 'em out front of the shopping centres every 'cold' season. smile

That's a decent pic for a webcam. smile

EOS20D eh? hmmm Is that named differently in Europe or something? I don't think I've ever seen it before, and it's in the similar 'league' as the Nikon D40x but I haven't tried it out. Funny though, 'cause that would also make it very similar in price, features and whatnot as Canon's own EOS 400D (or Digital Rebel as they call it in some places). hmmm

Yeah, it's a mid to high-end D-SLR. Fairly good. You can make it better with additional lenses, bulbs, etc but I'm not that good. My mum got one for when she goes trekking in mountains but can't figure it out so is giving it to the geek son to play with. smile I'll have it playing mario64 soon.

Well I'd certainly call the D40x I'll be getting a budget DSLR (it won't feel 'budget' when I stump up the bahts though 'cause of the extra lens I want lol ), but I see that Canon is a couple of hundred bucks more. I'm glad they're really focusing on that kind of level of camera (ie. sub-$1000) now as there's no way I'd be able to pay the several thousand dollars those mammoth professional DSLRs cost. I can't wait to get the camera as I'll finally have a 'proper' camera again. woot!

I see on dpreview.com there's an update of that Canon titled the EOS30D. I wonder how much more it is. Did you take a look at the 400D? Sounds like the 20D is a really solid camera and a better choice. hmmm

p.s. Jammy bugger! My mum's retarded when it comes to technology too but I've never gotten a DSLR out of it. lol

lol

We had this point towards the end of the wedding where Mon and I were sat with various combinations of family members and friends behind us and there were about 5 or 6 people in a line taking pictures simultaneously. Of course, when we saw all the pics there wasn't one photo where everyone was looking at the same camera. I was trying to organise it all but just gave up. lol
