eek Don't tell me you have seen it disbelief?

naturally I have seen it, it was staple diet coz of the Nuns, that and gone with the wind, every Xmas, willy wanka´s choco factory, gone with the wind and the sound of music, funnily I remember going to a covent production of it in my village, naturally we only went to see the girls we were all chasing at the time, but it was amusing and very nostalgic, it is actually a very nice oldie type film, when i saw all those Sissy movies it brought it all back, up in the mountains with nothing to do but sing songs, during the war, bliss, utter bliss lol

See the Sissi movies are quite popular here as was Romy Schneider nod.
BTW, yesterday I saw a short TV special about Gwen Stwefani and they showed a bit of that part of "The Sound Of Music" that inspired the "jodel" part in one of her songs. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears giggle. It was so weird lol .

my ex GF has often been compared to Romy Schneider, actress wise i mean lol

although these days i think she looks more like Kiera Knightly or whatever her name is

I thought it was Sisi with just one s, but I wan't sure boxed.
I don't think you can compare it to Lady Di as she seemed to have been popular for all age groups and that's not the case with Sisi. Young people (age 60 and under lol) don't care about her I think. Although just this summer there was a quite popular German animated comedy movie about her.

They don't look alike at all IMO. So I guess it must have been actress wise. lol

No the mentioned offer hasn't got anything to do with a possible org invasion lol.

Thanks rose. I was afraid I might have spoiled the pleasant anticipation by telling that to me that movie as well as a stage production of it would probably be amusing in a different kind of way as it is for you. I guess we Austrians just can't understand it shrug. When I was in Trinidad/Tobago half a year ago a Chinese guest house owner told us how much he enjoyed the movie. He had been to Salzburg just because of it eek . He proudly introduced us to his little daughter so that she could meet someone who comes from the country where her favourite movie takes place eek . It was touching and embarrassing at the same time giggle.

it is halirious that a musical/film that put Austria on the modern day map, is something that the Austrians themselves have no clue about lol

BTW, do you know the International Threatre in vienna, I mean the small one, not far one of the Centimeter pubs, I cant remember which district but it is not far from that amazing church with the two spires?

I need to know what the big fuss is about. I may have watched it a long time ago but I don't remember.

I know some of the songs.
