I met some amazing people here, but also fickle people. And got laid here. It's pretty an enlargement of everyday life.

My best friend is faithful. She can be as shallow as I am and as deep. We care. We do not smother, but envelop eachother with warmth when the other needs to. She is the one I run to when I feel scared or alone.

It is hard to pick a song. The songs I respond to the most lately are songs like The Knife's We Share Our Mothers' Health and Radiohead's The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy. The way they craft organic sounds through technology is something that pierced my souy upon first hearing and has only deepened my emotions to these songs ever since.

Or course, it is a nice combination of the both, as everything is in life. You grow to become more jaded so you can weed out all the bullshit that comes with youthfulness. It can make you or bitter or strong. But you probably have to become a bit bitter before the strong-part.

Being real strong means being naieve in the face of being jaded.

I will do two books; the one near me and the one I am reading.

My instant reaction to When Doves Cry was the first of many a musical affliction; some artists make one song that touches you deeply, others make dozens.
Of all artists in the world, Prince made the most songs that seem like a soundtrack to my life at a certain time in my life. And some still do; I consider Prince a gifted singer before anything else. His voice is a the best male voice since, well, Sinatra, I think. Prince used it in so many ways that people do not always consider him as such, but dayum, in the 80's he was the bomb.

I was maid of honor at her wedding. Our parents still live across the street from one another. She has 2 children now. And they're great. We drift from times when we're closer and not so close, but we will always be in each otehrs lives.

At this point I'd take the college education, especially if it meant I could go straight for 4 years and not have to work on the side. I have run into money troubles this year, but am expecting a pay check or two from my second job soon and will get right on it. I'm planning to get a bunch done tomorrow also. I intend to spend less than last year, but I know myself and will probably be close to spending the same if not more.

There are a couple I always go back to, one is After Hours by Velvet Underground. Mo Tucker singing in that sweet little voice you'd never expect to come out of her lamenting about feeling lonely in a crowd, but it's hopeful nonetheless.

But I have to admit, I don't tend to broken hearts well. I have a bordering-on-unhealthy cynicism towards men and I'm not sure it's going away any time soon.
