I love crabcakes....BEERBATTERED! In the cape there's this little place that serves them, and there as big as your fist... no onions... at least not visible ones, lots of fresh crab meat! Any restaurant in the New England area that made those with imitation crab you get the "NO,NO" from the Phantom Gourmet. Ah yes, then there's the Summer Shack....

So either somebody's pregnant or I now have to raid the supermarket and harass my girlfriends for a crabcake recipe.

Love crab cakes. I used 2 live in D.C., and I worked in Maryland, where they are crab and crabcake fanatics. Good stuff.

In fact, I love nearly all seafood. I remember looking in the sink in my Mom's kitchen when I was a kid, while she was cutting up squid (calamari). The Black ink was running down the drain as she was rinsing them, and I was like, "Ma. What's that?" She would be like, "It's supper".

Anyway...

See what I'm talking about?!

I make it fried, sauteed, and grilled.

Last summer, I stuffed the bodies with the tentacles, scallops, herbs and garlic, and grilled them on a charcoal grill. DAMN, that was good.

(i only use pure lump charcoal.... not briquettes)

Octopus is my absolute favorite seafood, followed closely by my mom's saltfish(cod) salad and raw oysters eaten on the shell with hot sauce..... to some people these may sound gross, but they really are extremely good.



Calamari stuffed and grilled? YUM! I gonna have to get that recipe...
