Ex-Moderator | Both!
And they're both under 3 feet tall. My family sells trees every year (my grandfather did, now one of my uncles does, chances are one of his children will take over, etc.) so I'm particular about trees. They must be real, or so fake as to not even be tree-like, like my pink and silver tinsel tree. |

I have to pour water in its pot every morning which means at 6:15am I'm on the floor under the tree with a jug of water trying to pour it in without spilling any. Whilst the cat sits and looks at me like I've gone mental. This morning the handle of the jug broke when I was pouring so I, the carpet, the cat, infact everything apart from the tree got soaked!

We have 2, both fake. We really wanted one to be real bur want to leave them up for so long that real isn't practical. I have a 4 ft white tree that is decorated in purple and silver and the main tree is 7ft green traditional with multicolored decorations, very pretty.
After New Years, Meggy is going to change the white tree to red, green and yellow lights and decorations for Rastafarian Christmas on Jan 7. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

fake tree
real trees are too expensive and too much of a pain in the ass to fit inside of a tree stand....the tree my family uses has been around for years and still looks great...my mom and dad bought it in '87 and it's still going strong since they gave it to me...it's practically a family heirloom...

Oh gosh, that's the only thing Empire is good for these days, isn't it? I used to love that magazine but now they seem obsessed with the business and money side of things and seem to have forgotten the articles about the actual movies and movie-making. Even the reviews just talk about whether or not the movie was a good "career choice" for the people involved.

I always sneak a peek in Empire at the news stand, but the only magazine I subscribe to these days is Newsweek. I'd love to have an entertainment magazine too but none of them seem to fit my interest.

I don't have a indoor christmas tree, but I have two column-like ever-green trees which are live and potted on either side of my front door with lights in them. Basically to appease the neighbors and add to the ambiance of the area.
Hopefully they will survive the winter so they can be planted in the spring.

In my little apartment I can only fit a fake.... real trees tend to be too wide, my kids love to decorate with me... eggnog, homemade sugarcookies, and a gingerbread house will also be made(geesh, I'm sounding like Martha Stewart)
In my old apartment we always had a real one, I miss that smell. I think I'll have a wreath made so that we can have that smell in the house. [Edited 12/4/07 7:13am]
