peel, boil, then boil twice until soft. add a bit of milk, some butter, garlic, salt and if you like a bit of chives

You should use waxy spuds too, don't make the pices to small when you boil them and add cream and butter with a bit of salt a pepper when you mash.

Instead of boiling your potato's in water boil them in chicken broth! Bring 2 boil,reduce heat to simmer,let cook for 30-40 minutes,drain saving some broth,place tatters in mixing bowl with a generious amount of butter,a splash of milk,add a lil broth and whip,add garlic salt if you want for flavor.Top with more butter and paprika! ENJOY
